Royal Northern Sinfonia and their Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska return to Ripon Cathedral with the ultimate summer evening soundtrack. Three centuries after they were composed, Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons sounds as fresh and tuneful as ever – the birdsong of Spring, the downpours of Summer, the celebrations of Autumn, and the icy shiver of Winter. Also on the set list are lively, dazzling dances by Sándor Veress, Edvard Grieg and Nikos Skalkottas.
